The IEEE Student Branch at University of Leicester is a vibrant community of engineering and technology enthusiasts dedicated to professional development, networking, and technological innovation.

Prof. Bing Ji

Prof. Bing Ji

Advisor

Head of Electrical Engineering at the University of Leicester, UK, and Director of the Centre for Intelligent Power and Electric Propulsion (CIPSEP). His research focuses on power electronics, reliability of semiconductor devices, and intelligent drives for applications in electric transport and renewable energy. A recipient of the IET Outstanding Editor Award and a Gold Medal at the Geneva International Invention Exhibition, he has published over 50 journal papers and serves as Editor-at-Large for IET Power Electronics.

Prof. Fangxin Han

Advisor

The instructor and technical engineer of the UOL IEEE Student Branch at Dalian University of Technology (DUT), in response to the internationalization trend of IEEE SB, provides technical guidance and development strategies for the branch members located at DUT, with rich practical experience. He has participated in projects such as "Research on Water Hydrant Disaster Mitigation Technology and Emergency Response Equipment" and "Water Quality Alkalinity Stabilization Technology for Factory-based Recirculating Aquaculture Systems" of the National Science and Technology Department. He holds 20 patents including "A Dynamic Music Aquarium" and "A Fluid Mechanical Device with No Shaft Drive and Easy Electronic Programmable Control". Since 2021, he has been involved in the "Automatic Horizontal Suction Project of Net Pouches for Redianhaer Nuclear Power Plant Phase I", and in 2022, he participated in the "Research on Teaching Method Reform for Marine Biological Resources and Environmental Direction under the Background of New Engineering Sciences" project.
